It has been so long since I have written, it must be because I am having such a great time!

I'm so sorry for not writing for a while, I just have not found the time! I guess in this post I will tell the highlights of what happened since my last post.

  • I have been cooking for my family! So far I have cooked pancakes (and we used the maple syrup that I brought as a gift), and chocolate chip cookies. I also have the recipe for sugar cookies, and I want to make an apple pie too!

  •  More exploring in Buenos Aires! Last weekend my sister, my mom, my mom's friend, and I went to the center of Buenos Aires and went to a theater, where there was a concert going on. We stayed and watched it for a while, then walked around near the theater. During our explorations we ran into another market! (I enjoy them so much!) Near the market was a cemetery that was open to public and we decided to go in.The cemetery was so different from all others that I have ever seen! There are little "houses" for the family to take care of, and the cemetery just goes on forever
  •  After leaving the cemetery we walked through the market again, and it was starting to get dark. When we got back to the theater the sun was very close to setting, and it made the sky so beautiful! I think about six-thirty at night is the perfect time to look at Buenos Aires! That night we also went and looked at the flower, which used to open during the day, and close at night. It is amazing (even with it not closing anymore)
  •  After a long day in the center of the city, we went to a family friend's apartment for dinner. We ate nyoki (I have no idea how to spell it) which was amazing, and from the apartment balcony I got some pictures of Buenos Aires late at night! (The last photos that I posted today)
  •  The day after my family and I went to Tigre, which is a tourist area near a river. There was an art museum, a market, boats, food, and a lot more. We walked around for a while just enjoying ourselves. Afterwards we went to a restaurant (which was the first time with my family!)
  •  Then school started up, and it was the last week before vacations. This week was also the week that everyone got sick, including me. In my class almost ten people were missing, and one day, all of my teachers were missing. In my school if a teacher is missing there is no sub, the students are expected to just sit there for the hour.
  •  On Thursday I went to a friends house for the afternoon. I met her little sister and mother. The little sister really likes English, and kept asking me different words. Her mother works at a salon, and decided to give me a manicure. I stayed at my friends house until about four in the afternoon, then took the bus home.
  • On Thursday when I got home things took a turn for the worse. I got a sore throat, and a headache, which are the same symptoms that my sister has. It is now Saturday morning and I still have a sore throat, and a cough. But I am not letting being a little sick stop me, today my sister and I are going to see Harry Potter number seven part two!
  •  Well that's all that has happened, and now here is what is yet to come. Because it is vacations my family is going to Mar del Plata for a week. We will be staying in a house with my family, my mom's friend, and my sister's friend. I am so excited! I just hope my sister and I are not sick when we leave.
If you have any questions feel free to comment! Besos! Chau!

  1. Thanks for catching us up on what's up! Your pictures look like you are having a WONDERFUL time! I especially like the first and last (cooking and looking over the city).

You still need to find some daylight time to take a pic of the outside of your house! (Maybe today before you head to Mar del Plata.)

Tell your family you want to do a polar bear swim in Mar del Plata. You'll be the only one on the beach, I'm sure!
